Sikkim Electricity
They consider it as a major objective in the power sector in Sikkim and are implementing it. Foundation of electricity sector in Sikkim was inaugurated on 27th May 1927 at Ranicola near Gangtok with the first micro hydro project with an installed capacity of 50 kW.
In 1957, considering the increasing demand for electricity, a diesel power house of 257 KW capacity was installed at Gangtok. And they kept increasing the production of electricity through this diesel power house.

Some charges have also been set for the electricity used by the people. While this fee was initially introduced as a method of payment by going to the electricity office, now they have introduced the facility of paying the electricity bill at home through the internet. Sikkim Electricity Bill Payment
Step: 1
First, login to Google Chrome and type Sikkim Power in the search box. Then click on Quick Pay Power Department Govt of Sikkim as the first option in that image.

If you look at this image, you will know the home image of the Government Power Department. If you already login in this image, then you have to click on the login button directly. If you are making bill payment online for the first time, there will be a sign up button at the top. Click on it.

On this page, your contract number, consumer number, your mobile number, email ID, create password, and below the password, you have given the option to submit, and you have to fill everything correctly.

Type your contact number consumer ID in this image and type the captcha number shown below in that box and click the submit button.

The next time you get this image, you have been informed about running your electricity bill. Scroll down a little in this image.
Step: 6
Ask to type your electricity bill amount. Then type the captcha number in that box. Apart from that, since you are doing it online, they have given the terms and conditions. They have given an option like Agri to that. They will give a small box in it. Select that little box and click on pay now option below.
Step: 7
You must have asked which method you are going to use for bill payment. In this page, they will give you credit card, debit card, net banking, wallet, QR code in many ways. Now we are going to make payment through debit card.
Step: 8
After selecting the debit card option, it asks to fill the information correctly. Debit Card Number Expiry Date CV Number One Holder Name After filling all these correctly you will be given an option below Make Payment Click on it. Then an OTP will be sent to your account register mobile number via SMS. The OTP should be filled at the asked stage. This OTP SMS is sent by system for your payment security. After filling the OTP click on submit button below. An SMS will be sent to your mobile number confirming that your payment has been successfully made. This way you can make your electricity bill payments in a very simple way.
